Reno eNVy Stocks Up on SF Merchandise for Super Bowl

Posted: Updated:

Support of the Super Bowl and Colin Kaepernick is boosting a lot of local businesses. And Reno eNVy is doing its best to cash in on the event. They have printed up 500 custom T-shirts sporting their logo and the city of San Francisco.

"They are fun and they are fun to wear," says Kelly Burr with Reno eNVy. "We couldn't use the Kaepernick name or the 49ers logo, but we worked around it and they are selling great."

The shirts say SF eNVy on them and show the Golden Gate Bridge. And if you look closely you'll see that a tiny version of the Reno eNVy trailer is hauling its way across the bridge.

"It's our way of tying it all together," Burr said.

Customers are finding the connection a good one.

"I came in for this shirt because I'm a 49ers fan and these are cool!" said customer Audra VanLandingham. "But we have another connection, my son is a friend of Kaepernick's tattoo artist so we are going to get there autographed."

Well, that is a good connection too.

In the meantime, they say they still have sizes and styles in, but expect the stock to be slim by Sunday.

CBS Sports will provide hours ofcoverage from New Orleans on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd.

You can watch it only on Channel 2, starting at 8 am. Kick-off for the big game is set for 3:30pm, local time.
