Two Life Sentences for Man Who Sexually Assaulted Young Girl

A 28-year-old man has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences with the possibility of parole after 70 years for the sexual assault of a child.

The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says Miguel Ojeda-Enriquez was sentenced Wednesday for acts of lewdness, attempted sexual assault and oral, vaginal and anal sex with his girlfriend's nine-year-old daughter.

The prosecution asked the court for a tougher sentence for Ojeda-Enriquez to send a message to the community. When sentencing Ojeda-Enriquez, Judge Flanagan told him "you have imposed a life sentence on that little girl."

Ojeda-Enriquez was arrested in January of 2011.
