The U.S. Attorney's office for the District of Nevada says an alleged pimp from the Reno area has been indicted by a grand jury on a sex trafficking charge.

Daniel Bogden's office says 20-year-old Vernon McCullum III, also known as "Fifth" was indicted Wednesday and charged with illegal transportation of a minor for prostitution or other illegal sexual activity.

McCullum is accused of transporting a 15-year-old girl from Bakersfield, California to Reno to work as a prostitute back on January 10, 2013.

If McCullum is convicted, he faces a minimum of 10 years to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

This case is being investigated by the Reno Police Department Street Enforcement Team and the Bakersfield Police Department.
