BB Gun Round Shot at Ambulance

Posted: Updated:

The Reno Police Department says they are investigating after a BB gun round was fired into the back of an ambulance.

It happened Wednesday just before 2:00am at an apartment complex on Hubbard Way in Reno.

Police say REMSA paramedics were treating a patient in the back of their ambulance when they heard what sounded like a shot hit their back window.

"When we arrived on scene we found that one of the windows in their ambulance had been shot out. At this time it does appear that a BB gun was used to break that window," Sergeant Scott Shaw with the Reno Police Department told us.

After the window broke, paramedics drove to the Peppermill parking lot to wait for help. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

If you have any information you are being asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411. A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
