Stephanie Avalose, 14, never imagined she would see her own artwork printed on the box of facial tissues. That thought will be much closer to reality with additional votes on Facebook.

While being treated at Renown Children's Hospital, Stephanie Avalos learned of an art competition that could possibly bring $15,000 to the Reno Hospital.

Hosted by White Cloud Facial Tissues, benefiting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the art promotion is designed to print the winning patient's art on special-edition boxes to be sold at retail stories, including Walmart, nation-wide.

Avalose's art was selected as one of 10 finalists in the competition. Avalos is currently in second place behind another Stephanie, from Las Vegas.

The patient with the most Facebook votes wins.

Votes can be cast every 24 hours through Jan. 31, 2013. Click here to cast your vote: https://www.facebook.com/mywhitecloud/app_436325016429465

If Stephanie Avalos wins, White Cloud Facial Tissues will donate $15,000 to Reno instead of Las Vegas.

Art Heals

Research indicates art can positively impact a patient's healing process. Findings show that patients exposed to art require fewer drugs, spend less time in the hospital and have improved mental health.
