Posted: Updated:

The dinner is held each year on the eve of SCI's annual Hunters' Convention at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Dozens of nonprofits will team up on Tuesday to help the homeless in our area.

From 7 am to noon, the City of Reno is hosting Project Homeless Connect at the Reno Events Center downtown.

Thanks to almost 70 agencies, the event will provide medical care, job and housing information, haircuts, massages and more.

Last year - this event helped more than 650 people.

Tomorrow night - The Salvation Army and Safari Club International are hosting a warm meal for area homeless at the Reno Events Center from 5 to 7pm.

Last year, they served almost 1,700 meals.
