Good Business Expected This Weekend at Area Slopes

Posted: Updated:

Many skiers and snowboarders are planning to hit area slopes over the holiday weekend.

Officials at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe say people are already coming up to the resort and they expect good business like they saw over Christmas thanks to the great conditions on the mountain.

This morning we caught up with some tourists who say they really enjoy not just the skiing, but the area as a whole.

"It has the best of everything: a little gambling in the casino and nightlife but it's got the beautiful nature and skiing and snowboarding so, it's great to do both," says Angela Santiago.

"I love it really nice really good conditions, nice and fast," says Peter Penrod.

Resort officials say there will be plenty of shuttles running from downtown Reno to the mountain all weekend.
