Sparks Police Make Arrest in Auto Burglaries

The Sparks Police Department has made an arrest in a string of armed robberies and car burglaries.

19-year-old Manaloa Tonata and 19-year-old Anthony Padilla have been arrested in connection with the crimes that took place back on January 6th.

They are accused of stealing three cars and breaking into two more within just a few hours.

The Sparks Police Department caught up with Tonata that same day and charged him with three counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit burglary, obtaining a credit/debit card without permission, petit larceny and theft of $650-$3,500.

As for Padilla, he was arrested Wednesday and is charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Sparks Police say a number of juveniles were also arrested in connection with these crimes.
