The Northern Nevada Youth Football League is holding a blood drive later this month in Carson City.
The inaugural ‘Blood Drive for Life!' will be held Saturday, January 26th at the Carson City Mall at 1313 South Carson Street from 11am to 3pm. (It'll be located inside the building formally occupied by Gottschalks.)
President and owner, Edward Alexander, says the idea for the drive came after the league's vice president lost a friend formally affiliated with the league. The child moved to Southern California and did not get needed blood in time to save his life after an accident.
The drive is being held in cooperation with United Blood Services of Northern Nevada and Carson City Mall.
