Carson-Tahoe Continuing Care Hospital employees are cleaning up after plunging temperatures burst a water sprinkler pipe Tuesday afternoon.
Carson City Fire Chief Stacy Giomi tells us freezing temperatures also caused some ceiling tiles to fall inside patient rooms along the upper floor, inside the older hospital, located on Mountain Street near Fritsch Elementary School.
As a precaution, firefighters helped hospital employees move three patients to Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Hospital representatives say the flood has since been contained and stabililized. No other patients were relocated and no one was hurt.
