El Dorado Deputies Arrest Wife on Murder Charge

Deputies and El Dorado County have arrested a Placerville woman for allegedly murdering her husband.

Police responded to a home on Wilderness Court on Sunday after getting a report of a homicide. When they arrived, they met with a woman in the home and say they found her husband shot dead inside.

Investigators later identified the victim as 72-year-old Robert Edward Harris.

They arrested 70-year-old Colleen Ann Harris. She's charged with one count of murder.

Deputies have not yet released any motive for the murder.
