Authorities have lifted a yellow precautionary lockdown at Fernley High School.
An official with the Nevada Highway Patrol tells us the Lyon County Sheriff's Office got a 911 call reporting a possible person with a weapon near Fernley High School around 9am Tuesday.
Upon further investigation, authorities tell us a man was legally target shooting nearby.
The school was originally placed on a code red, then reduced to a precautionary yellow. The school district also robo-called parents as a precaution.
No one was hurt in the incident which lasted about an hour.
