Sparks Police Look For Robbery Suspects On East Prater Way
Sparks Police are looking for suspects in a robbery Sunday morning.
Police say it happened around 5:30 a.m. in front of a restaurant on the 1400 block of East Prater Way.
Around 7:30 a.m., two officers were flagged down by an employee of that restaurant who told them that as he was arriving at work, two men stood in front of his vehicle, and forced him to stop. One of the suspects then went to the driver side door and began demanding the victim's wallet and tried to get into the vehicle. Meanwhile, the other suspect continued to stand in front of the vehicle.
Police say the victim then rolled up his window, but one of the suspects threw a rock and broke the window. A suspect reached into the vehicle and took his wallet. Both of the suspects then walked off westbound on Prater Way.
The victim received a minor laceration to the left side of his head from the broken glass during the robbery, but he didn't require medical attention.
Police say because of a language barrier, it's unknown why the victim didn't call police immediately after the incident.
The first suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, 18 to 20-years old, about 5'6", with a thin build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
The second suspect is described as an unknown race man, 18 to 20-years old, about 5'10" with curly shoulder-length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket.
Police also say one of them may have had a small, white dog with them during the incident.
