If you've been to Bibo Coffee on Mt. Rose Street, then you'll feel right at home at their newest location in south Reno. Owner, Debbie Spieker-Martin, says it's very similar to her two other shops. "It really focuses on the coffee. Quality coffee and a nice place to come and have a conversation, read a book. Same set up, same food, so I think there's a lot of familiar things just in a different part of town."
If you've never been to one of the three Bibo's, then you're in for a treat from a local company that grows every few years. The chairs and tables in the entryway are the same, there's even a back meeting room. This one has some cozy chairs in the front of the store as well. Even the food is the same. But what brings most people back to Bibos is the coffee. "Our espresso is out of a roaster in the Bay Area. And it's a very unique Indian bean that's a blend that's really special that's a traditional sweet espresso. And then all of our brewed coffees are from a roaster out of Verdi so it's a good little local company that provides good coffee."
And it doesn't just taste good, it looks pretty too. And the same friendly faces are pouring you that familiar cup of joe. And here at South Creek, when the warmer temperatures return, tables and chairs will make their debut on the patio. Owner Paul and Debbie Martin say south Reno was an under served market and this was the perfect location for them. "There's a lot of people out here and there's a lot of great retail outlets but not a lot of smaller local businesses. And this particular center at South Creek really focused on that."
Bibo Coffee Co. is located on Foothill Road just across South Virginia Street from Winco and Nu Yalk Pizza.
