More than 1.3 million Nevadans are registered as active voters at the end of December 2012. Numbers released today by Secretary of State Ross Miller's Elections Division show a minor increase in the number of registered active Democrats, while Republicans experienced a small decrease from the previous month.
Of the 1,300,185 active registrants statewide, 42.09% (547,256) are Democrats, 34.39% (447,158) are Republicans, 17.53% (227,863) are Non-Partisans, 4.67% (60,739) are members of the Independent American Party, and the remaining 1.32% (17,169) are members of the Libertarian or other minor parties.
