Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information on an early Saturday morning shooting in Sparks.

Police say it happened around 1 a.m. in the area of 1100 15th Street. When officers arrived on scene, the victim told them he and three friends were walking out of the apartment complex when they were passed by a light-colored two-door passenger car, similar to a Chevrolet Cavalier.

The victim told police the occupants of the car yelled something out of the window. Police say the suspect vehicle then drove a short distance away, turned around and came back.

The victim then reportedly walked up to the car and talked with the driver of the vehicle who later pulled out a handgun and shot a round at the victim. He was struck in the hand.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver is described as a Hispanic man, aged 18 to 24-years old. There was a passenger in the vehicle who's described as a Hispanic woman, aged 18 to 20-years old.

Police say this could be a gang-related case. They say the investigation is ongoing.
