Posted: Updated:

Sparks police say the driver involved in Wednesday's night hit and run accident has turned himself in to authorities.

The accident happened at the intersection of Oddie Boulevard and Mall Drive, near Paradise Park around 5:30pm.

Police say a man was crossing the street at an angle and against a green light when he was hit by an SUV.

The driver originally took off but has since turned himself in and been interviewed by police. At this time no charges are being filed -- but the investigation is on-going.

If you know anything that could help, call Sparks Police at 353-2432.
