Troopers have identified the people involved in Friday night's deadly accident on Mt. Rose Highway.

They say 50-year-old Tracy Scott of Reno was pulling out onto Mt. Rose Highway from a driveway when she lost control due to snow on the road.

She slid into the opposite lane and was hit by a pickup towing a trailer, driven by 36-year-old Kurt Heinrichs of Reno.

Both drivers were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center, where Scott later passed away.

Heinrichs was released later Friday night.

Witnesses to the event are encouraged to call the NHP-Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) office in Reno at (775) 689-4614 regarding case number NHP-121219080 or e-mail Trooper Scott Morron at smorron@dps.state.nv.us
