Posted: Updated:

A Spanish Springs family welcomed home their son who had been stationed in Texas.

Hospital Corpsman Tyler Nott returned home for the holidays Friday morning.

His family and the Blue Star Mothers surprised him at the airport.

"It means a lot and everything because this might be my last time being home for a while so having a this definitely is something new for me but it makes it that much more memorable," says Tyler Nott.

Tyler's family says his brothers really look up to him for preserving in his Navy career.

They plan to hang out together while he's in town.

"He promised to take me to go see Zero Dark Thirty and then we're just going to go home and play Call of Duty 'till like three in the morning. It's going to be a brother day," says Jayson Nott.

He'll be here through January 1st.
