'Kookies for K9s' Saturday in South Reno

Posted: Updated:

You can help support one part of the Reno Police Department just by buying some tasty treats for your pups this Saturday.

The Kookies for K-9's event is from 9am to 2pm at the Petco at 5565 south Virginia Street and the Walmart at 4855 Kietzke Lane.

The $1 homemade treats are made by University of Nevada student Tara Cole. All cookies are made with fresh ingredients and are grain-free, wheat-free and dairy-free.

She'll also offer cat nip pillows for $1.

Proceeds will help buy training supplies like leashes, collars, and bite suits, which can get expensive.
