The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident in the Fernley area Saturday morning.
Troopers say it happened around 8:45 a.m. on Interstate-80, near mile marker 50, about two miles east of Fernley.
They say a Ford Expedition with five people inside was traveling westbound on I-80 when it rolled over. One passenger was ejected and died at the scene.
Another inside the vehicle had to be taken by helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center. The other three were taken by ground to the hospital. Their conditions are all unknown at this time.
Troopers say they are investigating exactly how the crash happened.
