Money Watch Q & A: CHAOS to Cash

Posted: Updated:

Clearing the clutter from your house could earn you some extra spending money this holiday season. Professional organizer, Debbie Cox has 25 years of experience organizing residential homes and home offices. She says something as simple as rearranging your food can save you money because you will not run the risk of buying duplicate items. Plus, organizing canned items by expiration dates can help eliminate waste. Debbie also suggests creating an organized space for important documents, like bills. Debbie keeps them in a color-coded file to prevent misplacing bills and racking up late fees.

If you want to purge your home of unused items, you can sell them online through Debbie's consignment website, www.chaostocashreno.com. After you register for free, Debbie and her staff will discuss your goals. Chaos to Cash will then work to sell your treasures on your behalf by photographing and marketing them on a couple popular websites, like eBay and Craigslist. The selling price will be split in half with the company. To learn more, go online or visit the Reno shop at 215 South Wells Avenue. Debbie can also be reached at (775) 560-1656.
