Anita EnglishWashoe County deputies have a Reno woman in custody - accused of trying to kill her husband for reading a pornographic book.
Deputies arrested 69-year-old Anita English after her husband called them late Sunday night saying his wife shot at him.
After investigating, deputies say English fired two shots from a revolver at her husband while drunk. Fortunately, he was not hurt.
They say she had tried to fire a rifle at him but it malfunctioned.
Deputies say it's important for couple to talk out their problems without resorting to violence.
"Couples are going to argue, couple are going to disagree, we always advise a cooling off period where you separate from one another until you're able to calmfully talk about the problem," says Dep. Armando Avina.
English is charged with two counts of attempted murder.
