Woman Injured in I-580 Rollover Crash Near Moana

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say a 42-year-old Reno woman was injured after her SUV rolled over near the I-580 off ramp near Moana Lane.

Troopers say just before 11am Friday, the woman was heading north in the far left lane when another driver moved into her lane without seeing her Isuzu Trooper. The woman steered left to avoid an collision, but her SUV hit the center barrier before veering right, traveling across all three lanes and rolling over the off ramp and through a fence.

Witnesses say the woman crawled out of her SUV after receving a head injury.

The unidentified woman was later taken to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The other driver was not hurt and received a citation for making an unsafe lane change.

No other vehicles were involved.

The north off ramp was closed for about an hour after the crash.
