A local non-profit donated hundreds of toys for children in need this holiday season on Friday morning.
The Nevada Woodchucks distributed about 1,800 handmade wooden toys to a dozen local charities.
Officials say they were going to drop off the toys next week, but the potential for flooding this weekend prompted them to start early.
"We were going to distribute all of the toys on Thursday or Friday of next week, but we decided to bring it forward early, just in case. We'd rather not see the kids lose a few thousand toys," says Alan Harley.
Some of the charities that got toys included the Evelyn Mount Foundation, The Salvation Army and the Children's Cabinet.
