It's opening night for our Reno Bighorns! The NBA development league team is back for its fifth season.
And new this year... Channel 2 is presenting Family Fridays.
There is a new "Bighorns Kids Zone" adjacent to the basketball court.
There are high hopes for the Bighorns this season. They added eight players to their roster - and it's fun to watch NBA prospects move up, players like the Rockets' Jeremy Lin - who played for Reno a couple seasons ago.
And tonight you'll also get your first look at the Lady Bighorns - the semi-pro dance team. They've been rehearsing for months - and their special guest dancer tonight -- Kristen Remington.
Their director, Brianne Edmunds works to raise the standards so more and more young ladies want to be part of the squad.
So, naturally I asked for some pointers.
"Just have fun. Perform. Have fun because that's all there is to it. Dance is about passion," says Edmunds.
"Even if I mess up?"
"Even if you mess up. Just laugh! You'll be fine."
Doors open at 6pm, so come on down and get your free cap.
And tipoff is at seven. Looking forward to seeing you down here.
