21 Arrests Made in Reno-Sparks Over Holiday Weekend

The Nevada Highway Patrol says 21 motorists were arrested over the holiday weekend here in Reno-Sparks.

NHP says 12 of the arrests were for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. One of those was a felony DUI arrest. Another person was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and failing to maintain a lane. Eight other arrests were for misdemeanor traffic warrants.

Last year, the same number of motorists was arrested along with one pedestrian. Ten of those were for driving under the influence, 10 for warrants, one stolen vehicle arrest and one probation violation arrest.
