One Dead In ATV Accident North of Reno

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal ATV accident north of Reno Saturday afternoon.

Deputies do not have many details at this time, but they tell Channel 2 News that it happened around 2 p.m. about 10 miles off of Fish Springs Road. That's located nearly 10 miles west of Pyramid Lake and more than 40 miles north of the Reno area.

Deputies say they are trying to figure out how the unidentified man exactly died while riding the ATV. They say it took crews awhile to get through the rough terrain to get to the victim.
