200+ Citations Written during 'Click It or Ticket' Campaign
The Reno Police Department, University of Nevada Police Department and Nevada Highway Patrol teamed up for a "Click It or Ticket" campaign on Black Friday, November 23rd.
Reno Police say the one-day enforcement campaign ended with more than 200 citations written. The citations ranged from drivers not wearing their seatbelts to cellphone violations, and various traffic-related charges.
The event was funded by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
Police say this sort of campaign is important because the amount of traffic always increases during the holidays, especially around malls and area shopping centers.
