The City of Sparks is seeking applicants to serve on the City's Planning Commission.

Purpose:
|
Review and make recommendations to the City Council for tentative subdivision maps, zone changes, annexations, master plan amendments, Title 20 Zoning Ordinance changes, and regional plans that concern Sparks. The Planning Commission is also responsible for the approval or denial of certain special use permit and variance applications.

First and Third Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM

Legislative Council Chambers, 745 4th Street, Sparks. Subject to Change

Term of Office:
|
Four-year staggered terms

NRS 278.010, 278.630, Sparks Municipal Code Chapter 2.14, 17.12 and Title 20.

Appointing Authority:
|
Mayor shall appoint subject to confirmation by the City Council.

Qualifications:
|
Must be a resident of the City of Sparks, a registered voter and hold no other public office.
