Reno police need help identifying possible suspects in connection with a recent rash of area health club burglaries.

Police say it's unknown at this time if these suspects are responsible for the burglaries, but there is reason to believe they are involved in using the stolen cash or credit cards.

Reno police say the suspect(s) smashes car windows to steal purses left inside vehicles in parking lots. So far, 30 or more health clubs have been hit since August including:

  • 24 Hour Fitness: 6155 Neil Road and 1595 Sky Mountain
  • Fitness Connection: 5390 Longley Lane
  • South Reno Athletic Club: 9393 Gateway Drive
  • Lakeridge Tennis Club: 6005 Plumas Street
  • High Sierra Lanes: 3390 South Virginia Street

Then police say, the suspect(s) then use the stolen credit cash or credit cards. The attached photos show the suspects using the cards at local businesses.

Police released this description information a few weeks go - a white or Hispanic man wearing a black hoodie. He drives three different vehicles: 2008-2012 Dodge Charger with 17"-18" rims, a purple van and a green or teal newer model sporty-looking Toyota.

If you go to health clubs, police say:

  • Make sure all vehicle windows are rolled up and locked
  • Do not leave any valuables in plain view or locked up in the trunk
  • Park in well lit and high visibility areas
  • Report suspicious activity to police at 334-COPS

If you have any information on these crimes, call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411. Your call will remain anonymous and they are offering a reward.
