Southwest Airlines to Cut Daily Reno-Oakland Route

A twice-daily flight between Reno and Oakland, will be grounded for good next year.

Officials with the Reno-Tahoe International Airport confirm the Southwest flight will end on June 2nd.

We're told it was a decision made by Southwest, since the flights were usually just a little more than half full.

Airport officials are talking with other airlines to establish a flight between Reno and Oakland.

They say travelers can take a United Airlines flight between Reno and San Francisco, or an Alaska Airlines flight between Reno and San Jose.
