Sparks Police Look For Driver of SUV Who Hit Bicyclists

Posted: Updated:

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information in a hit and run accident that injured two bicyclists in Sparks.

Police say a 44-year-old Sparks man and a 45-year-old Reno woman were riding bicycles in the right-hand shoulder, going north on Kietzke Lane, just south of Victorian Avenue around 2:45 a.m. when they were both struck by an SUV also traveling north on Kietzke. The driver of the SUV was reportedly not at the scene when officers arrived on scene.

Police say both bicyclists were transported by ground to Renown Regional Medical Center. Police say the injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time.

The vehicle is described as a white-colored Honda SUV with unknown plates and front-end damage. Police say the Honda emblem is missing from the grill.

Police do not have any other details at this time. If you have any information on this incident, you're being asked to call the Sparks Police Department at (775) 353-2231 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900. You can also text your tip to 847411.
