Credit Union Kicks Off Drive to Help UNR Marching Band

Posted: Updated:

Greater Nevada Credit Union joined the University of Nevada Friday to kick off a donation drive to support the Wolf Pack marching band.

The band helped the credit union launch the "Its Time to Support the Band" fundraiser at its south Reno branch located on Sierra Center Parkway.

The credit union has pledged to match up to $45,000 in community donations.

Band members say that money is vital to keep the band around.

"The band a few years ago was almost completely cut and without the support of the community we wouldn't have been able to get back on our feet and perform in front of even an audience like this," says junior Quinton Flury.
