Channel 2's 20th Annual Share Your Christmas drive-by food drive is just one month away, and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada is hoping you'll help make it a record-breaking year.
At last year's event, more than 177,000 pounds of food and $141,000 were collected throughout northern Nevada.
The food bank says once again, they're looking for foods high in protein. They also need pasta, rice and canned fruits and vegetables.
They say it's heartwarming to see this northern Nevada community help year after year.
"We just see so many people just chipping in and helping us feed everyone, and we just are so thankful," says Jocelyn Lantrip.
It's not just the food bank, Share Your Christmas also helps four other local nonprofit's.
In Reno, we will be set up at the Grand Sierra Resort. In Carson City, you can drop off donations at the Governor's Mansion, and in Minden at the Carson Valley Inn.
