Join Harrah's Reno Monday night as dozens of employees and supporters will come together to feed over 1000 of our homeless residents and low income families at the intersection of 6th and Center Streets. In 2011, Harrah's fed over 1300 folks in need. This year, the casino is preparing for as many as 1500 people to take advantage of the meal.
The Holiday Outreach Dinner has become an annual tradition for Harrah's Reno. "Harrah's employees always rally around this annual event," says Janet Leis of Harrah's Reno, who spearheads this remarkable project each year for the casino. "It's a chance for us to give back to the community and make a positive impact with so many people in need during these difficult times."
Setup and preparation will begin in late afternoon. Dinner will officially begin at 5 p.m. with families seated first. The dinner will continue until approximately 7 p.m. or until all mouths are fed.
