The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and Bully's Sports Bar & Grill are excited to embark on the Ninth Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Club's Donald W. Reynolds Facility on East Ninth Street in Reno. All members of the community are invited to enjoy the feast and festivities this Thanksgiving Eve including a free family photograph station and free flu shots, thanks to the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM).
"Bully's is very proud to be able to participate in the free Community Dinner again this year," said Jo Sonner, owner of Bully's Sports Bar & Grill. "It gives us an opportunity to bring people together and give back to the community; which is a big part of the Bully's culture and is really what the holidays are all about."
Together, the Boys & Girls Club and Bully's anticipate serving nearly 1,500 members of the community Nov. 21, bringing the total number of people served in the event's history to almost 10,000. During that annual event, the community is invited to feast over hot turkey, stuffing, cranberries, and all the other fixings while enjoying the merriment of family and friends in a location famous for the helping hands that reach more than 10,000 children in the Club's 20 northern Nevada locations each year.
The Club and Bully's also help guests stay healthy this holiday season with free flu shots compliments of the UNSOM. The organizations make the night even more memorable for attendees with a free photo booth, making for the perfect family snap shot, and by providing a card-making station for attendees to reach out to military members who are stationed overseas during the holiday season.
