Join The Summit as the premier shopping and lifestyle center sets the sky ablaze with the seventh annual Lights Up celebration on Saturday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. This highly anticipated event, sponsored by Renown Children's Hospital, will include the official lighting of The Summit's holiday decorations, a fireworks show, festive music performed by local musicians, concluding with the arrival of Santa Claus himself.
Drawings will be held throughout the event, with Renown raffling off a special gift that evening. Joel Muller, vice president of Renown Health Foundation and Becky Haase, RN, manager of pediatric services at Renown Children's Hospital will emcee the event.
Alexia Bratiotis, general manager of The Summit, is proud to host the seventh annual event. "We are so excited to host this event once again this year," noted Bratiotis. "Watching the excitement among the children in the crowd as Santa arrives shows us all the real joy of the holiday season."
Attendees will have the option to enjoy food and drinks from four local food trucks that will be on site, including DishTruck, Gourmelt, Kenji's and Traffic Jam. The celebration will take place in the Holiday Plaza next to Vans and Tilly's. Summit Blvd. will be closed for the event from Verizon Wireless to Tangerine Aveda beginning at 4 p.m.
In addition to Lights Up, The Summit will also host a Holiday Farmers Market on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring fresh, local fall produce including grapes, apples, corn, potatoes, garlic, onions and squash.
