Reno Police are investigating a hit and run accident that happened early Thursday morning.

The Reno Police Department says it happened just after midnight by the Peppermill Resort Casino, near the intersection of South Virginia Street and Hubbard Way.

Reno Police tell us the driver hit two pedestrians that were in a cross walk. The driver reportedly took off, and now police are trying to find the vehicle.

From vehicle parts left on the scene the Reno Police Department Major Investigation Accident Team has identified the suspect vehicle as a 1997 through 2004 Buick Regal. The vehicle color is still believed to be black but it may also be a dark color and is missing the driver's side mirror.

Police say they are also now trying to locate and interview 21-year old Tyler Cowan who is a person of interest in this case. They say he owns a 1999 Buick Regal, black in color, with Nevada license plate: 099-WPG.

If you have any information you are being asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411. They are offering a $1,000 reward.
