Issues Voters Want to See Solved in Next Four Years

Posted: Updated:

On Tuesday night, the Obama campaign along with millions around the country rejoiced.

The celebrations didn't last long because voters in northern Nevada say now, it's time to get back to work.

"Keep college affordable so people can stay in school, and go to school and just see everything improve all around," says Cheryll Reft.

The handful of locals we talked to are hoping the Republicans and Democrats can find some middle ground. If they do, they say this country will be in better shape.

"Definitely jobs, absolutely," says Jody Scowcroft. "The housing market, and I think it's a circle. One follows the other."

Other issues folks say need to see improvements include immigration reform and the high unemployment rate.

Overall, most say the President has a tough road ahead to make the majority of Americans happy.

"The Republicans aren't going to change, and he's not going to change. So, we're going to be at a logger head that we've been at all along," says Terry O'Harra. "I fear for our country, I really do."
