The Sparks Police Department says a rollover accident is alcohol-related.
Police say the driver of a Chevy Tahoe was speeding eastbound on I Street on Tuesday afternoon. According to witnesses, the driver did not stop for a stop sign at Rock Boulevard.
Police say the Chevy smashed into a station wagon that was heading south on Rock. The Chevy rolled and hit a curb and a fence, ejecting five people in the vehicle. No one's injuries appeared to be life-threatening, according to investigators. Police say at least two of the occupants left the scene.
A juvenile was driving the Chevy, and police say he may have been drinking.
The driver of the station wagon as taken to Renown Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The Gang Unit is now involved in the investigation, because Sparks Police believe the Chevy's occupants were involved in some gang activity in Reno just before the accident.
