31st Annual UNR Ski & Board Swap Starts Today

After 31 years, the UNR Ski and Board Swap is still a highly anticipated community event.  The Winter apparel shoppers and sellers alike will gather at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center located at 4590 S. Virginia St. on Friday, Nov. 9; Saturday, Nov. 10; Sunday, Nov. 11. Parking is $7 per car; however, the fee will be refunded with any purchase of $15 or more.

The 31st UNR Ski and Board Swap Hours and Admission:

  • *Friday, Nov. 9 at 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. | Admission $35 *Early Bird Special
  • Friday, Nov. 9 at 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. | Admission $12 Adult $6 Children 6-12 (5 and under are free)
  • Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. | Admission $7 Adult $4 children 6-12 (5 and under are free)
  • Sunday, Nov. 11 at 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. | Admission $7 Adult; All students, military, police, fire, ambulance and WCSD teachers are free on Sunday, Nov. 11.

Ski Boom! 2012 will feature brand new and last year's models. Merchandise will include adult and children's Alpine, Nordic and snowboard equipment and apparel with savings from 30% to 70%. A variety of boots, poles, clothing and accessories will be available.  Swap personal are available to assist shoppers in choosing the correct equipment.

Sellers' Note:
Check-in for items to be sold is on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 9 at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Check out for unsold registered items will be on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Limit to twenty-five items as an individual. Each item must be sold for a minimum of $5.00.
Pick up unsold items at the North Entrance of the Reno-Sparks Convention Center on Sunday, Nov. 11 from
6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All items not picked up will be donated to the UNR Ski and Board Club.

The UNR Ski and Board Swap is produced by the Reno Ski and Recreation Club and the UNR Ski Team Boosters. The 31st annual swap is sponsored by: Lithia Reno Subaru, The GMAA Group, JR Romero, Architect, Lotus Radio and KTVN TV.
