Demo-cats, Re-pup-licans Up for Adoption at Humane Society

The Race to the Right House is on! Nevada Humane Society is proud to offer many wonderful Demo-CATs and Re-PUP-licans, as candidates for the role of Commander-in-Chief at your house. All four-legged candidates are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to assume office at your home. 

Best of all, now through November 11, you can adopt an adult  Re-PUP-lican or Demo-CAT  for free  (excluding specially priced pets). Kittens can be adopted for just $40.

Furry candidates come in  all sizes, colors and personalities. In addition, each Demo-CAT or Re-PUP-lican has plenty of experience and positions on important issues  including:

  • Economic stimulus:  Milk or Milk Bones in every bowl.
  • Fair housing: Cozy beds for all
  • Education: Even old dogs can learn new tricks

Nevada Humane Society is open for pet adoptions Sunday through Friday from 11:00 am until 6:30 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:30 pm. The shelter is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno.     The list of legal problems for the Washoe School District grew this morning as the State Attorney General's Office filed six counts each against the six trustees involved in the Pedro Martinez suit. But The School Board's outside counsel says he began working on settlement in that matter since last Wednesday and able to file it immediately.
