The Nevada Highway Patrol released an accident report Thursday on Senator Harry Reid's motorcade crash in Las Vegas last week.
Troopers with the Southern Command tell Channel 2 News about how the report details how the accident on Interstate-15 happened.
They say two of the four vehicles in the Senator's motorcade slowed down to avoid an accident in busy traffic.
That caused a chain-reaction. Another vehicle in the caravan swerved to try to avoid the accident, but ended up hitting a civilian vehicle.
Senator Reid's vehicle was hit by a semi-truck and another vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries in the crash.
