WCSD Bus Involved in Accident; No Serious Injuries

At approximately 4:30 pm, a Washoe County School District bus was involved in a non injury accident at the intersection of Wrondel Way and Gentry Way.

The driver of the bus was preparing to turn West on Gentry from Wrondel after stopping at the stop sign. As the driver was turning, a pedestrian stepped off of the curb into the crosswalk walking East on Gentry.

The bus struck the pedestrian in the arm before the driver noticed her and stopped. The pedestrian was checked by REMSA but was not transported after declining medical attention.

The bus had a single 8 year old passenger that was unhurt during.

The driver was cited on scene.
