There's a new political ad running on local television stations this week that's attracting attention - and criticism.
Some of that criticism is directed at the television stations airing it - including KTVN because of the graphic content.
We asked our general manager to explain the policy concerning political advertising.
"We're required to provide access to Federal candidates for their advertising on our TV station. And we're not allowed to change it in any way, shape or form. It's the Federal law that we run these spots without changing them and we really- we follow law, we can't do anything about it," says KTVN General Manager Lawson Fox.
The commercial is scheduled to air on KTVN Tuesday through Sunday during Channel 2 News at 11:00pm.
We will run an announcement before it airs warning viewers about the graphic content.
