People from more than 25 countries became naturalized citizens Friday inside the Nevada State Capitol in Carson City.
Governor Brian Sandoval served as the ceremony's keynote speaker and the Youth Theatre Carson City Showstoppers sang the National Anthem and the Nevada State song 'Home Means Nevada.'
The 60 new citizens range in age from 18 to 85 and are originally from 27 countries, including Bulgaria, Canada, China, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam and the Republic of Yugoslavia.
