Catholic Charities Seek Holiday Stocking Donations

Posted: Updated:

Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada is asking for pre-filled stocking donations for kids up to age 17.

CCNN will distribute the stockings at our annual "Operation: Stocking Stuffer" holiday party at our St. Vincent's Dining Facility on December 21st, 2012 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. The stockings will go to local children whose parents cannot afford to buy them presents this year. Many of the children we serve are either homeless or living temporarily in local motels. At last year's event, we gave away more than 500 stockings.

Supplies needed include:

Infant – Age 2: Blanket & Stuffed Animal

Age 3 – 5: Toys & Treats

Grades 1 – 3: Toys & Treats

Grades 4 – 6: Toys & Treats

Age 13 – 17: Scarf set, Toiletries, Gift Cards

The donation deadline is December 7th, 2012. Stockings can be dropped off at our St. Vincent's Food Pantry at 500 East Fourth Street (corner of Valley & 4th) in Reno. You can also donated items/gifts to be put into stockings. If so, please do not wrap the items. If you are donating stockings, please label each with gender and age group.
