Pestmaster Services Moves Headquarters, Jobs to Reno

Posted: Updated:

A new pest control company announced Tuesday, they will be opening up for business in Reno.

Pestmaster Services President Jeff Van Diepen said they have been operating out of their corporate offices in Bishop, California, but Nevada is much more business friendly, so they are moving.

"The biggest thing has just been really the negative public policies the state of California has and how pro-business the state of Nevada is," said Van Diepen. "Of course, the tax incentives are nice."

Tuesday, Pestmaster was busy putting up their sign at their new location on South Virginia Street.

Pestmaster Services operates in 14 other states across the country, but the corporate offices will now be in Reno.

Pestmaster specializes in green, sustainable approaches to pest management. Van Diepen said they have 14 employees and will be hiring another 10 or so. He said they are looking for service technicians and some administrative staff.

Van Diepen said the jobs pay between $35,000-$120,000 a year, depending on the position.

If you would like to apply, you can bring your resume to Pestmaster Services during business hours at 9716 South Virginia Street.
