Nevadans who make their homes more-energy efficient this season could see some big rebates.
The state's Office of Energy and Home-Free Nevada are bringing back their "EnergyFit" program which offers rebates up to $3,000 for homeowners who take steps to conserve more energy.
"Keeping the hot air in...um, the weather-stripping, efficient lighting. There's a lot of simple things you can do, but with these rebates we're hoping people will take a little bit bigger chunk of that energy usage and reduce the consumption," says executive director Deenee Evans.
The first 100 homes to complete upgrades by December 31st can receive rebates if at least $1,000 is invested.
